An expansive, nonexclusive deal puts the Disney+ original and all five Ice Age films on Netflix starting Oct. 4, with Will Trent and Pixar titles to follow.

Disney has agreed to license a slate of its movies and TV shows to Netflix, the companies said Friday. Variety first reported the deal.

The agreement is nonexclusive. Nothing leaves Disney's own services. Titles will rotate onto Netflix for varying periods of time while staying on Disney+ and Hulu.

The first arrivals are Percy Jackson and the Olympians and the Ice Age movies. Seasons one and two of the Disney+ original hit Netflix globally on Oct. 4 for three months. Season three premieres on Disney+ on Nov. 20. All five Ice Age films arrive the same day, also for three months, ahead of Ice Age: Boiling Point in theaters on Feb. 5, 2027.

More TV follows. Seasons one through four of ABC's Will Trent arrive on Nov. 3. Seasons one and two of Shifting Gears follow on Dec. 1. Tracker seasons one through three stream for international subscribers starting Feb. 26, 2027. The deal also covers library titles including Felicity, Revenge, Army Wives, Fresh Off the Boat and This Is Us, though availability varies by region.

In early 2027, select Disney and Pixar films join the lineup: Soul, Elio and Raya and the Last Dragon, with more titles and dates to come. Reuters reported Friday that the companies confirmed the deal.

The timing points to promotion. Both headliners land on Netflix just before a new Disney release. Viewers can catch up on Netflix, then need Disney+ for the new seasons and the new film.

Netflix has been buying library titles more aggressively. In July, the company licensed The Walking Dead from AMC Global Media.
