11 Shot Near Florida A&M Stadium After Homecoming Game
Six of the 12 people hurt were juveniles, the youngest 11. Police say a fight between two or three people came first, and no one has been arrested.

Eleven people were shot Saturday night near Florida A&M University's Bragg Memorial Stadium in Tallahassee, police said. A twelfth person was hurt running from the scene.
The gunfire broke out just before 8 p.m. near Perry and Manatee streets, next to the stadium. Crowds were still gathered in the area after the school's homecoming football game, which Florida A&M lost to Arkansas-Pine Bluff 31-28.
Six of the 12 people hurt were juveniles. The youngest was 11 years old. One of the victims was a Florida A&M student. No one was killed. One victim was in critical condition, and others were seriously hurt or stable.
A fight came first, police say
Tallahassee Police Chief Lawrence Revell said early findings point to a physical altercation between individuals. He called it an isolated incident between two or three individuals, and said police believe one shooter was involved.
“I stand before you tonight devastated,” Revell said at a news conference just after midnight.
“We hurt with you, and we will continue to get you the answers you so desperately want,” he told the victims' families.
No one had been arrested as of early Sunday, and police had not named a person of interest. The department's Violent Crimes Unit is leading the investigation.
Revell said about two dozen officers were already in the area when the shots were fired. He said officers carried victims in their arms to get them to transport because crowds blocked the way.
Campus alert and reaction
Florida A&M sent a campus safety alert at 8:40 p.m. telling people to shelter in place and avoid the area near Bragg Stadium. The university said late Saturday that the campus remained safe.
“Our hearts go out to the victims and all those affected by this tragic incident,” the university said in a statement.
Tallahassee Mayor John Dailey called the shooting “a truly horrific and heartbreaking tragedy.”
“Tonight and in the days ahead, the FAMU family is not alone. Our entire community stands with you,” Dailey wrote on X.
Police asked anyone who saw anything to call the Tallahassee Police Department at 850-891-4200 or Crime Solvers at 850-574-TIPS. The victims have not been publicly identified.
