Everything But The Girl Announce 'Blue Reservoir,' Out February 19, 2027
The duo's second album since ending a 24-year recording hiatus arrives February 19, 2027, on Buzzin' Fly through Virgin Music Group. First single 'Young and Dumb' is out now, with a video filmed back at London's MOTH Club.

Everything But The Girl will release Blue Reservoir on February 19, 2027. The duo announced the album Wednesday, with first single 'Young and Dumb' out now.
The album is the duo's 11th studio album. It is their second since ending a 24-year recording hiatus with Fuse in 2023.
Blue Reservoir grew out of a run of intimate shows at London's MOTH Club. The residency began in 2025 as the duo's first performances together in roughly 25 years, and stretched to around 30 shows at the 300-capacity Hackney club.
“There was an intensity and simplicity to the MOTH shows that took us back to how we started out,” Tracey Thorn said in a statement. “Direct, rooted in guitar and voice, a few extra colors. We hadn't been in that world for a long time and it just felt fresh and real.”
Ben Watt bought a Spanish nylon-string guitar at the start of 2026. It became central to the writing. “It became quite an emotional springboard for me,” he said. “I found a voice I thought I'd lost.”
Nine of the album's 10 songs were written on guitar, and one on piano. Thorn wrote six of the lyrics, Watt wrote three, and the pair co-wrote one. Most of the album was recorded live over 10 days at RAK Studios in London in July, with Rex Horan on double bass, Evan Jenkins on drums, and Fabio de Oliveira on percussion. The duo's son, Blake Watt, appears on two tracks.
'Young and Dumb' opens with Watt on the nylon-string guitar before settling into a bossa nova-influenced run. Its video, directed by Edward Bishop from a treatment by Thorn and Watt, was filmed back at the MOTH Club.
The album arrives on Buzzin' Fly through Virgin Music Group. Its 10 tracks also include opener 'Forward' and 'Scala.'
Live dates
Thorn and Watt formed Everything But The Girl in 1982. For the live shows, they are billed as Ben Watt and Tracey Thorn.
The remaining 2026 dates, at Union Chapel and the MOTH Club in London, are sold out. In 2027, the pair add regional shows for the first time: Union Chapel in London on May 21 and 22, St George's in Bristol on May 25, and Albert Hall in Manchester on May 26. Those dates go on sale October 30.
