Orbital Announce New Album 'Other' and 2027 Tour
The electronic duo's 11th studio album lands on March 19, 2027. Its first single, 'Mother, Maiden & Crone' with Maxine Peake, is out now.

Orbital have a new album on the way. The Kent-born brothers Paul and Phil Hartnoll announced their 11th studio record, Other, on Thursday. It comes out on London Records on March 19, 2027.
The first single, “Mother, Maiden & Crone,” is out now. It features English actor Maxine Peake and draws on witchcraft and folklore, pairing gothic synth lines with séance-like vocals. It is the duo’s first new music since 2023’s Optical Delusion, which reached No. 6 on the UK Albums Chart and topped the dance chart.
Other is about otherness: neurodiversity, identity, outsiders, and the freedom to live beyond the categories society hands down. The record moves through gothic folk, drum & bass, punk and ambient alongside Orbital’s trademark electronic sound.
The album gets a tour. The Other Tour opens at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre on April 8, plays Dolans in Limerick on April 9 and Belfast’s Limelight 1 on April 10, then runs through the UK — Northampton, Liverpool, Glasgow, Nottingham, Manchester, Cardiff, Frome, Birmingham, Bournemouth and London’s British Airways ARC on April 24 — before European dates in Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels, Berlin and Copenhagen end the run on May 4.
Presale tickets go on sale Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 10 a.m., and general sale follows on Friday, Oct. 23 at 10 a.m. Fans who order during the early-access window can also buy an exclusive 2LP-and-CD tour edition of the album, its alternative artwork carrying an unticked “Other” box that Paul or Phil Hartnoll will tick by hand. That edition is on sale from Oct. 15 through Oct. 22.
Orbital are one of British electronic music’s most influential acts, carrying it from underground rave culture to festival main stages over more than 35 years. Earlier this year they released Glastonbury 1994, the first official recording of their celebrated festival set, and the 2024 reissue of their debut, The Green Album, topped the dance chart.
