The Coast Guard says the FAA lost contact early Saturday with a Gulfstream G100 carrying six people. Air and surface crews are searching the waters off Nantucket.

A plane with six people aboard has vanished on a flight from Bermuda to Boston. The U.S. Coast Guard launched a search early Saturday.
The Coast Guard Northeast District said the Federal Aviation Administration reported losing contact with the aircraft in the early hours of Saturday morning. Air and surface crews have been sent to the waters off Nantucket, where the search is focused.
The plane is a Gulfstream G100, a twin-engine mid-size jet. Flight tracking data shows it took off from Bermuda International Airport at 11:41 p.m. ET on Friday.
The aircraft is registered in Canada to Latitude Air Ambulance, according to the Official Canadian Civil Aircraft Register. The company is a medical transport service that flies patients home when they need specialized care. It did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board also did not immediately respond to requests for comment. No word yet on who was aboard or why contact was lost.
This is a developing story. Deniro News will update this article as the search continues.
