Elderbrook will release his fourth studio album, “Heart on a Wire,” on January 22. It comes out on Counter Records, the Ninja Tune sublabel.

The British producer and singer, born Alexander Kotz, announced the album this week. He also announced a North American tour behind it. The run opens March 18 at HISTORY in Ottawa and closes April 3 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado.

The tour hits 11 cities in the U.S. and Canada. Stops include Montreal’s MTELUS, Boston’s Roadrunner, the Fillmore in Philadelphia, BERHTA in Washington, and the Truman in Kansas City. Arlo and Rules open the shows.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on October 23 at 10 a.m. local time. Presales begin October 20.

A new single, “Lost in the View,” is out now. Kotz said the song was inspired by his recent move from the UK to Los Angeles.

“Making ‘Heart on a Wire’ felt like reconnecting with the instincts that first drew me to music,” he said. “I wanted to approach the album more from an indie music point of view, following ideas wherever they led and letting the songs take shape naturally.”

The album marks his arrival at Ninja Tune. Marie Clausen, the label’s managing director of North America, called it a “moving record.”

Elderbrook broke through in 2017 with “Cola,” his collaboration with CamelPhat. The track earned him a Grammy nomination. His last album, “Another Touch,” came out in 2024.
