Ella Langley's 'Choosin' Texas' Extends Its Record With a 26th Week at No. 1
The song has now spent 26 nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the longest reign in the chart's history, and has topped the chart in nine different months.

Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" has spent a 26th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The chart is dated November 7. No song in the chart's history has spent longer at the top.
The previous record was 22 weeks, held by Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You." Langley passed it in September, on her 23rd week at No. 1. She has now stretched the record to 26.
Seven runs to 26 weeks
The 26 weeks did not come in one stretch. The song first reached No. 1 in February 2026. It has returned to the top in seven separate runs and has topped the chart in nine different months, from February to November. Its longest unbroken run was 14 weeks, from July 4 to October 3.
The song also leads the Hot Country Songs chart, where it has spent 47 weeks at No. 1. It made Langley the first female artist to top the Hot 100, Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts at the same time.
The album behind the single
"Choosin' Texas" is the lead single from Langley's second album, Dandelion, released April 10, 2026. She co-wrote and co-produced it with Miranda Lambert. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Langley, 27, is from Hope Hull, Alabama. She wrapped the second leg of her Dandelion Tour on October 31 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, the same weekend the new chart week began.
The next chart will show whether the run reaches a 27th week.
