Kings of Leon are coming back to Australia and New Zealand. The band announced Monday that it will play five outdoor shows in February and March 2027, its first tour of the region behind a new record.

The tour supports their tenth studio album, “O My Beloved,” which comes out Nov. 6. It will be the follow-up to 2024’s “Can We Please Have Fun.”

The run starts in New Zealand. The band headlines Live At The Domain in Auckland on Feb. 24 and plays the Electric Avenue festival on Feb. 26 and 27.

Then it is Australia’s turn. Kings of Leon play Sydney’s Centennial Park on Feb. 28, part of the new Sydney Summertime concert series. Brisbane’s Showgrounds hosts them on March 3, and the tour wraps at Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne on March 5.

Australian rock band Ocean Alley is the support act for the shows. The trip is the band’s ninth Australian tour, according to Noise11.

Tickets go on general sale at 1 p.m. local time on Tuesday, Oct. 27. Fans who pre-order “O My Beloved” by 4 p.m. AEDT on Wednesday, Oct. 21 get access to a presale starting at noon on Thursday, Oct. 22. A Live Nation presale follows on Friday, Oct. 23.

The Sydney show is all ages, with children 12 and under admitted free. Return public transport is included with every ticket.

The album runs 13 tracks, including the already-released singles “My Whole World,” “Cold Blue Dawn” and “KOYSAR.” Frontman Caleb Followill said the record looks back on the band’s career: “We have already surpassed anything we ever imagined we could do, and we’ve built something that is so special. I thought, wouldn’t it be beautiful to make an album that is looking back on all of the things that we’ve done and appreciating how we got here.”

The band formed in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, in 1999: brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill plus their cousin Matthew Followill. Early records built them a devoted following in Britain before 2008’s “Only by the Night” made them a global arena act on the back of “Sex on Fire” and “Use Somebody.” That album was Australia’s best-selling record of 2008 and went on to sell nine times platinum there.

The group has four Grammy Awards and has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide.
