Ozzfest Is Back: Three 2027 Dates, the First Since Ozzy's Death
The metal festival returns to England, California and Mexico next year, with Sharon Osbourne picking the bands. No acts have been named yet.

Ozzfest is coming back. The metal festival announced three dates for 2027 on Thursday, its first shows since 2018 and the first since Ozzy Osbourne died last year.
The dates are July 10 at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes, England; Sept. 11 at the Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California; and Sept. 18 at the Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City. All three fall on Saturdays. The Mexico show is the first Ozzfest in the country. Live Nation is promoting all three.
Sharon Osbourne, the festival’s co-founder and Ozzy’s widow, is curating the lineups. No bands have been named. She told Hits Daily Double on Thursday that about half the lineup is booked. She said she hopes the same bill plays all three shows. “For me, it’d be a lot less work,” she said.
The family said in August that a headliner was already locked in. That name was not announced on Thursday. The full lineups will be revealed in the coming months.
A festival built on a snub
Ozzy and Sharon started Ozzfest in 1996 after Lollapalooza turned Ozzy down. It became a traveling festival the next year, and in 1998 it crossed the Atlantic for the first time, playing the National Bowl in Milton Keynes. By 2005, more than four million people had attended Ozzfest, and it had grossed more than $170 million.
The last Ozzfest was New Year’s Eve 2018 at The Forum in Inglewood, California, with Ozzy headlining.
The first without Ozzy
Ozzy died on July 22, 2025, aged 76, 17 days after his farewell show, Back to the Beginning, in Birmingham, England. “Ozzy was the first to launch his own traveling metal festival,” Sharon Osbourne said in the announcement. “And Ozzfest will always remain an important part of Ozzy’s legacy.”
The England date was once expected to be Villa Park in Birmingham, where Back to the Beginning was held. It is now the National Bowl. Glen Helen is where Ozzfest launched in 1996.
Tickets, called “Early Bat” tickets, go on sale Friday, Nov. 6, at 10 a.m. local time for each show, through Ticketmaster and ozzfest.com.
