Rush will play five nights at Sphere in Las Vegas next May. The band announced the residency on Thursday.

The run is called “Elevate From The Norm.” The dates are May 21, 23, 26, 28 and 30, 2027.

Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson will be joined by drummer Anika Nilles and keyboardist Loren Gold. It is the same lineup that has carried the band’s Fifty Something reunion tour.

Each night will mix fan favorites and hits from across the band’s catalogue. Lee said the band plans to play 2112, from 1976, and Moving Pictures, from 1981, in full. The shows will also celebrate the life of Neil Peart, the band’s drummer and lyricist, who died in 2020.

Tickets go on sale Friday, November 13, at 10 a.m. PT. VIP and travel packages went on sale Friday. Details are at rush.com/sphere.

The comeback that kept growing

The Sphere dates extend a return few expected. Rush last toured in 2015, on the R40 tour marking 40 years of the band. Peart died in January 2020 at 67, after a three-year battle with glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer. For years after, Lee and Lifeson said the band was finished.

That changed with the Fifty Something tour, which opened June 7, 2026, at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. It was the same room where Rush played its last show with Peart, on August 1, 2015.

The tour started with 22 dates. They sold out at once. It grew to 58 shows in 24 cities in 2026, then added dates in South America and Europe for 2027. The band says it has sold more than one million tickets across the run.

Nilles, a German drummer, took the drum chair for the reunion. Gold handles keyboards. Lee said the Sphere production will be built around the venue’s wraparound screen and sound system, with new visuals designed for the room.

Rush formed in Toronto in 1968. The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
