Schwarzenegger Plays Santa in 'The Man With the Bag' Trailer

Prime Video has released the full trailer for The Man With the Bag. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays Santa Claus. Alan Ritchson plays the thief Santa recruits to save Christmas.

The film premieres globally on Prime Video on December 2. A teaser arrived in September. The full trailer landed Monday.

The setup is simple. A rogue elf with a grudge, played by Awkwafina, steals Santa's red bag. Christmas is at risk. Santa turns to a thief from his Naughty List and asks him to steal it back.

The thief assembles a crew of criminally skilled misfits. Elves and reindeer help along the way. Prime Video describes the film as a holiday heist adventure about second chances and unlikely friendships.

The trailer opens with Ritchson's thief at a diner with his young daughter. A job offer with a life-changing payout follows. The client turns out to be Santa himself. The trailer then cuts to a sleigh ride and the heist taking shape.

Adam Shankman directed the film from a script by Allan Rice. The cast also includes Berkeley James, Michael Cyril Creighton, Liza Koshy, Kyle Mooney, Jane Krakowski and Ken Jeong.

The film is Schwarzenegger's return to the Christmas genre 30 years after Jingle All the Way in 1996. Prime Video's post for the trailer summed up the pairing in three words: "Naughty, meet Nice."

Amazon MGM Studios made the film. It is positioned as one of Prime Video's holiday releases this Christmas.
