Slash and Myles Kennedy are back. The guitarist and singer announced a new single, a fifth studio album, and a 2027 world tour on Oct. 2, their first big move as a band since 2022.

The single is the title track of the new album, Flying Blind, which arrives worldwide on Feb. 26, 2027, via Gibson Records. It is the band’s fifth record together, following 2022’s 4.

The 12-track album was cut quickly, with the band finishing most of it in about a week at Studio Barbarosa in Florida alongside longtime producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette. Slash plays guitar and pedal steel on the record, with Kennedy on vocals, Todd Kerns on bass, Brent Fitz on drums, and Frank Sidoris on rhythm guitar.

“It’s a really fun, kind of spontaneous rock ’n’ roll record,” Slash said. “It’s very straightforward and down-to-earth and raw.” Kennedy said the title track’s lyric is about the shortcuts people chase in search of fulfillment. The song grew out of a riff Slash brought to a pre-production rehearsal, and its video was shot at the Viper Room in Los Angeles.

The Flying Blind world tour opens April 2, 2027, in Santiago, Chile, then runs through South America, North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe before wrapping July 26 at the Rockstadt Extreme Festival in Romania. It is the band’s first headline tour run since 2024.

Ticket pre-sale begins Tuesday, Oct. 6, with general on-sale Friday, Oct. 9. U.S. stops include a two-night stand at the Wiltern in Los Angeles in late April, plus New York’s Beacon Theatre and Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
