Netflix announced Tuesday that Jason Statham will star in Dogfight, a revenge thriller written and directed by Guy Ritchie. The film is set in London's criminal underworld.

Netflix describes it as a stylish revenge actioner. No plot details have been released. No other cast members have been announced. No release date has been set.

Production is scheduled to start in the United Kingdom in early 2027. Ritchie will also produce, alongside Statham, Ivan Atkinson and John Friedberg. The production companies are Black Bear Pictures, Toff Guy Films and Statham's Punch Palace Productions.

It is the seventh film for Statham and Ritchie together. Their work goes back to Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels in 1998 and Snatch in 2000. They followed those with Revolver in 2005, Wrath of Man in 2021 and Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre in 2023. A sixth, Viva La Madness, is in post-production.

Dogfight is Ritchie's second project for Netflix. His series The Gentlemen returned for a second season on the streamer in September. That show has already been renewed for a third season.

Statham will next be seen in The Beekeeper 2, due in January 2027. Dogfight has no theatrical plan announced. Netflix has not said whether it will get a cinema run before streaming.
